The fully volunteer Edithvale Fire Brigade of 100+ members not only responds to fires and emergencies within its own immediate area, the Brigade also contributes to larger firefighting and emergency operations in Victoria and interstate when required. Proceeds from extensive fundraising and bipartisan government support secured the $4.5m funding to design, build and fit out a new three storey facility, with centralised communications room, at Edithvale.
